Coventry Sphinx Ladies moved into the Women’s FA Cup Third Qualifying Round with a 8-2 victory away to Worcester United.
Sphinx led 1-0 at the break thanks to a 24th minute Xena Dhillon goal but in the second half, Worcester equalised in the 50th minute before Brenna Ruffley had Sphinx back in front.
Ruffley scored a third goal for Sphinx in the 63rd minute with Jo Ryan netting a fourth two minutes later.
Faye Birch hit the fifth in the 68th minute and then had a hand in the sixth goal which came courtesy of a 75th minute own goal.
Birch fired home the seventh goal in the 77th minute and Natalie Chadney scored the eighth in the 86th minute.
Worcester scored a second goal two minutes from time, as Sphinx booked their place in the next round with a fine win.
