Coventry Bees have a Half Season Ticket on sale to cover the opening stages of the 2017 SGB Premiership season at Leicester.
The club has an initial agreement to run up to eight Premiership fixtures at Beaumont Park, with the situation to be reviewed pending developments at Coventry.
Due to the uncertainty over how many meetings will be staged at various venues, the club have taken the decision to offer a Half Season Ticket to cover the first eight Premiership ‘home’ fixtures at the following prices:
Adults – £100
Senior Citizens (over-65s)/Students – £80
These prices will then be reviewed in mid-season ahead of the launch of another Half Season Ticket to cover the remaining ‘home’ fixtures.
Promoter Mick Horton said: “We want to be fair to the fans, we know we’re going to be spending the first part of the season at Leicester and on that basis we think it’s only fair that we offer an eight-meeting season ticket.
“Once we’ve done the eight home meetings, we’ll be in a better position to know where we’re going and then we can look at the situation for the second half of the season.
“I believe these prices represent excellent value, and they take into account the fact that supporters do face extra expense and inconvenience in getting to home matches, and what we’ve come up with is I believe the cheapest rate in the league.
“I can confirm under our lease agreement with Leicester, our admission prices on the night will be the same as Leicester’s, which is absolutely understandable.
“I would reduce our prices if I could, but we have to be fair to Leicester, we are running in the same league so offering essentially the same product, sometimes on successive nights, so it’s in our lease that those prices will be the same.
“However, we’ve also been speaking to various coach companies and are looking at prices to see if we can help with travel, and if we can do that we would also look to help by way of a free programme.
“We can’t physically give fans the money to travel, but if we can give something back it will help, and as a club we’re going to do all we can to help, and make it work.”
