Coventry Blaze coach Danny Stewart praised his side after the 6-2 victory against Manchester Storm.
Stewart told the Blaze website: “It was good to see the offence kick-in and get six. It was a great result. Stewy (Brian Stewart) kept us in it in the opening period.
“We were way too loose in the first giving up 3 or 4 odd-man opportunities. We talked about puck luck not going our way, but tonight I think we did have some puck luck, they had two sitters at the back-door which for whatever reason they missed.
“We weren’t anywhere near as good as we were last night, but I can’t remember the last time we didn’t play overly well and we found a way to win a hockey game so there a lot of good signs from that.”
